You don't need design skills, a budget, or a long tutorial to run a live, Kahoot-style quiz. If you can write five questions, you can have a game ready to host in about five minutes. Here's the whole process.

Step 1: Create a free account

Sign up with an email and username — it takes under a minute and there's no credit card involved. Your account is where your quizzes get saved, so you can reuse or edit them later.

Step 2: Set up your quiz shell

From your dashboard, click Create New Quiz and fill in three things:

  • Title — whatever you want players to see (e.g. "Friday Trivia Night" or "Chapter 5 Review").
  • Education level — pick "General" if it's not for a specific grade.
  • Subject — choose the closest match, or "General Knowledge" if it's a mixed bag.

Hit Create and you'll get a quiz code immediately — that's the code players will use to join.

Step 3: Add your questions

You have two options here, and you can mix both in the same quiz:

  • Write them yourself — type a question, four answer choices, and mark the correct one.
  • Let AI write them for you — open the AI Quiz Generator from your dashboard, pick a topic, level, and how many questions you want, and a full multiple-choice set is generated in seconds. Review it, tweak anything that needs adjusting, and add it to your quiz.

Most hosts land somewhere in the middle: a couple of AI-generated rounds for speed, plus one or two hand-written questions specific to their group.

Step 4: Host it live

When you're ready, start the game session. Players join by going to the site and entering your quiz code plus a nickname — no account, no app download. Put the question screen on a shared display (a projector, TV, or screen share) and let everyone answer from their own phone or laptop.

Step 5: Or skip the live event entirely

Not everyone is hosting a group at the same time. If you just want to share a quiz for people to play whenever they want, use the solo-play link instead — it works like a self-paced practice test, no scheduling required.
